The single-effect external circulation evaporator completes most of the gas-liquid separation in the separation chamber. Therefore, the external circulation evaporator can be more easy to mist entrainment and even run away. The separation chamber must have sufficient separation volume. In addition to the tangential way of the inlet, a foam trap must be installed in the separation chamber. The secondary steam should be discharged at the top of the separation chamber, and the secondary steam pipe should be inserted into a section of the separation chamber. The length of this section is generally between 150-250mm that can play the role of swirling flow, which is conducive to the further separation of gas and liquid. In order to better recover the material liquid entrained in the secondary steam, it is also possible to install a baffle-type or cyclone-type suds catching device between the separation pipe and the condenser pipe in the discharge pipe.
 

Working Principle

The thinner liquid with lower concentration enters the tube side of the heater, and the high-temperature steam enters the shell side of the heater. The steam indirectly heats the material liquid in the tube side, the liquid level rises, and it is injected into the separator from the spray tube for flash evaporation. In the separator, the heavier material liquid drops to the bottom and returns to the heater to boil and spray into the separator again to form a cycle; The lighter secondary steam rises to the top and enters the shell side of the condenser, enters the condensate collection tank after becoming a liquid phase, and is finally discharged by the pump for recycling or other treatment. A part of the gas is sucked and discharged by the vacuum pump. When the material liquid is concentrated to a certain degree, the material can be discharged after the sampling is confirmed to be qualified. At this point, the evaporation concentration process is completed.
